We believe sustainability means respect, and respect is not a choice. It was never and it will never be.
To us sustainability is a lifestyle commitment that permeates all our choices: from picking only Italian suppliers (so that our fabrics and accessories do not travel unnecessary kilometers), to choosing the closest tailoring lab in order to reduce the distance between production and our office&warehouse.

Made in Italy
Here's why.
First of all “Made in Italy” means excellent quality standards, which translates into durable clothes and less enviromental impact.
Furthermore, we choose to work with Italian suppliers to reduce the journey of our fabrics.
Our swimsuits are then created by a tailoring next to our office, so that we can also manage production reducing our traveling.
Moreover, producing in Italy means adequate salaries, working hours and rights for all the people working with us.
This was one of our first decisions and it is not an easy one. Costs of raw materials, accessories, cups and packaging are higher than other places in the world.
We don’t care, as we believe that there are higher values which overcome individual ones, like profit.
This is our conscious path, even if we know there are cheaper and easier choices.
Because not all easy choices are the right ones.

Sustainability has never been so chic
We are committed to convert 100% of our production to recycled and recyclable fabrics by the end of 2022. And we are proudly on track!
S|S 22 Swimwear Collection features only ECONYL® regenerated nylon, recycled starting from nylon waste like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from all over the world.
Nylon waste, otherwise polluting the Earth, is transformed into ECONYL® regenerated nylon. It’s exactly the same as brand new nylon and can be recycled, recreated and remoulded again and again. That means we can create new products and you can buy new products without having to use new resources.
FOR EVERY 10,000 TONS OF ECONYL® RAW MATERIAL, WE ARE ABLE TO SAVE 70,000 BARRELS OF CRUDE OIL & AVOID 65,100 TONNES OF CO2 EQ. EMISSIONS.
This means reducing the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material from oil.
We believe a better future starts with today’s choices and a better future is possible only if we produce less and reduce our environmental impact when producing.

Where does ECONYL® come from?
Old carpets
Otherwise destined to landfill. Just to give you an idea, every year only in the U.S., 4 billion pounds of carpet is discarded in landfills.
Fishing nets
Coming from aquaculture and fish industry and ghost nets. In 2021 188,500kgs of fishing nets were recovered by volunteer divers and collected from fish farms around the world.
Pre-consumer waste
Pre-consumer waste is waste coming from industrial processes such as plastic components, industrial waste and fabric scraps.
Carton packaging
No plastics. Only paper. That's all.
Our tags are made 100% from recycled vegetal fiber and are 100% recyclable, whilst our boxes are made with FSC recyclable paper. We chose hard carton boxes so that you can use them also to store your swimsuit or jewels or any other precious objects you want to take care of.

Our sustainability journey
We made choices we are proud of, here they are.
1. Supply
We wee committed to convert 100% of our production to recycled and recyclable fabrics by the end of 2023. And made it! As of June 2023 our collections are entirely made with no new resource from petrol and we couldn't be more proud of it!
2. Production
We chose to work only with Italian suppliers to reduce the journey of our fabrics. Our swimsuits are created by a tailoring next to our office, so that each person workinf with us receives an adequate salary and working rights and also because we can manage production reducing our travelling.
3. Packaging
We never used plastics and never will! We chose only recycled and FSC paper packaging, made in Italy and recyclable, as we believe that a beautiful packaging is the one that leaves the lightest footprint on our planet.
4. Shipping
We chose as our partners to ship our creations DHL express courier, as they have a clear commitment to reduce and offset CO₂ emissions through: last-mile delivery with electric vehicles, between 70 and 86% of electricity generated from renewable sources, and the use of bicycles for last-mile and zero emissions urban deliveries.
